WEB HOSTING
Now that your web site has been created, there needs to be
a place for the files to reside. Basically, it needs a computer
to run on. These are referred to as web servers. Not everyone
has a web server running at home or in their office with a
high speed connection to the internet, so that is where "web
hosting" comes into play.
"Web Hosting" is the act of renting
space on a shared or dedicated (private) web server. In other
words, you are paying someone to use space on their web server
for your web site, and for a high speed connection to the
internet.
The solutions at Krack Media are very simple. For the majority
of our clients, we offer either the Basic Hosting
package or the Advanced Hosting package.
The Basic Hosting package is a simple place
to locate your web site and the email system to handle the
mail generated from the contact forms.
The Advanced Hosting package requires additional
tools and software on the web server to handle many of the
options offered by Krack Media, such as the Listings
Manager, Newsletter, or Customer
Care Manager to name a few. Therefore, if your site
has any of the options that require this additional software
in the background, you will need the Advanced Hosting
package.
In addition to web hosting, we can offer web-based
email accounts. This gives you the ability to check
and send email from any computer with access to the internet.
